 About MMWave 2K - Release X
 ----------------------------

This release of MMWave 2K is the complete application. From
now on MMWave 2K will be released in different kind of versions
easily marked "Release A, B, C etc...". To be sure that you
have the newest release, make sure that the "Letter" is the
 the newest.

This application is released "as is", with no warranties of
any kind. The end user is using this application on his/hers
own risk. The author(s) of this application cannot be held
resposible for any damages caused by this application.

We have spent many hours of producing this application, here it
is, a fully working version after many hours work.

What the h*ll stands "MMWave" for?
 ----------------------------------

You're not the first to ask this question. To be honest with you,
we do not either know what it stands for. Of course it could be:
MultiMedia Wave Producer or just MuchMore Wave. So it's entirely
upto you what the name should stand for, if you figure out one good
then don't hesitate to contact us immidetly on: admin@xs4all.dk

Actually MMWave stands for: MuchMoreWave, easy as is ;)

 MM2.DLL and it's contents
 -------------------------

From beta 1 of MMWave 2K, NGin introduced a brand new Audio MPEG
Analyzer. He call it "MM2 Technology" and is of course based on
his very own MMWave 2 decoder engine. This new engine will be
introduced among with Mjoelner, our very own Audio MPEG Encoder SDK.
The MM2 library can both analyze and play Audio MPEG streams. The
analyze are based on several months work, the decoder itself will
soon be able to decode Audio MPEG files into either WAV or RAW files.
MM2 can be licensed from NGin, contact him on: rasmus@xs4all.dk if
 you're interested.

 The new "Mapping Mode"
 ----------------------

Together with the new MM2 Technology comes the new option in
MMWave 2K to use a so called mapping mode. This option first analyzes
the input Audio MPEG stream and after a successfull decode (via
Xaudio) it finally S*T*E*P*S the wave/raw file in order to
fully optimize the decode process to a supported encoder.
If no supported encoder are found MM2 uses a normal ISO based encoder
procedure and suggest the Mapping Mode to use a falloff on ~ 18 KHz.
By using this Mapping Mode, the resault is slighty better.

 Remove bleeps from MP3 files
 ----------------------------

Yes, some MP3 files contains those nasty bleeps. By using the build
in bleep remover, you will notice that most of the bleeps are removed
in the resaulting output file. Note that this feature only works with
MP3 files in the format: Stereo/128-320 Kbps/44 KHz All other MP3
 files will just be ignored.

 MMX and 3DNow! code, why?
 -------------------------

For some reasons (several) processors with these options makes the
decoding process increase as much as 10 to 25 % depending on what
MPEG Audio stream format we're speaking about. The new 3DNow! code
has been licensed from Zerro Software (www.zerro-software.nu) as
 well as the normalize code.

 Normalize, and so what?
 -----------------------

In the earlier releases of MMWave, this function were automatic.
But some users reported problems, and it was suggested to be done
manually. By using the normalizing wizard, you can normalize
(maximize) the soundlevel in your wave files. This is a nice feature,
if you have several wave files that have the different soundlevel
 you should use this function.

 CD-R joblists, why that?
 ------------------------

MMWave 2K can build joblists from different decode jobs. CD-R products
like Ahead's Nero Burning Rom (4.0.0.3) are able to make use of the
MMWave 2K CD-R joblist format. Just choose your favourite CD-R
product and see if it works for you.

 The MM2 Audio MPEG Player
 -------------------------

In beta 1 we added a possibility to play the MPEG Audio streams before
decoding them. Just mark a MPEG Audio stream in the joblist and
rightclick your mouse and select "Play file". The player is very
basic, but has a very fast seeking function with help from the MM2
 library (by NGin).

 The WAV2RAW converter
 ---------------------

This nice utility can easily convert your Wave files into RAW files.
Unfortunately you can't do it reverse (at least not yet).

 Intro decoding
 --------------

This is not a new feature. Actually it's based on the old "Range
decoding" feature from the old MP32WAV Pro. 1.0 product (from the
earlier rJPa Industries). Just select how many seconds you want
to decode. It's simple as 1..2..3

All settings are saved "on the fly"
 -----------------------------------

Yes, MMWave 2K's settings are saved on the fly. This means that
you don't have to restart MMWave 2K at any time in order to make
 new selections take effect.

 Priority is important
 ---------------------

Hmm, why? Well basically because the priority can speed up the
entire decoding progress magnificantly. The priority classes you
can choose is: 20,40,60,80 and 100 %. If you select 100 %, make
sure that no other applications are running and that you have
absolutely minimum 32Mb of installed RAM.
